So today was a big day for us... we finally got our cell phones and decided to rent a car until our car gets here. The cell phones are basic (just for emergencies really) and the car is more of a roller skate, but at this point it means connections and freedom! No more waiting for the bus or metro with two whining children. No more planning how much groceries I buy based on what I can carry in my backpack on the bus. We were very excited, even if the car is a fiat panda (look it up and laugh!) We drove around for an hour just because we could! The car is fine, but it makes you wonder when there is a button to adjust the headlights for if there is weight in the back seat, so you do not blind oncoming traffic! Fun stuff! We are part of the real world again. Ikea here we come!
